Sheet 01The machine

One frame captures waves and tide.

TA9A Shark pairs a wave mechanism and a tidal turbine in one near-shore unit.

01Surface waves

A float drives the Scotch & Yoke mechanism.

02Tidal current

A submerged Gorlov rotor takes energy from moving water.

  • About 10 kW average, modelled
  • Near shore, sized for a port or a fishing cooperative
  • Sealed generator housings
  • Rectifier, MPPT and LiFePO4 buffer, with telemetry to shore (design)
  • Bench MVP built. The 13 m prototype is the next build.

Three iterations: ECOTIDETECH (first concept), the hybrid bench MVP, and TA9A Shark.

Sheet 02The numbers

The model says 10 kW on average.

Everything else follows from that one number. It is an annual average, so real output will move with the sea.

7.5 kWscenario65.7 MWh · €32,8505.1 months
5 kWscenario43.8 MWh · €21,9007.7 months

Before installation, service, finance and taxes. Assumes all output displaces diesel at €0.50 per kWh.

Tariffs are assumptions for comparison, with 87.6 MWh a year and a €14,000 unit in every row. Each customer needs a site quote.

Two ways to buy

Buy the unit

You own the machine. Proposed price €14,000.

Buy the electricity

We own and maintain the machine and you pay for the electricity. Service tariffs are not agreed yet.

Impact, stated carefully

About 61 t of CO₂ avoided a year per unit, if it displaces diesel (0.7 kg per kWh, modelled). Effects on cold storage and cooperative income are unmeasured. The pilots will measure them.

TAM · Mediterranean

SAM · Morocco
€68-70M
SOM · five years

TAM

49,225 potential units × €14,000. The hardware value if every addressable site bought a unit. It is a build-out figure, not demand.

SAM

The Moroccan share. A planning estimate: there is no site list behind it yet.

SOM

150 to 250 units, 0.3 to 0.5% of TAM. A target, not an order book.

The global wave and tidal market was about USD 646M in 2025, heading to about USD 1.42B by 2034 at 9.1% a year (Precedence Research). Analysts’ estimates vary widely, from about USD 0.6B to 2B for 2025.
